Effective ATM protection
Through real bank-note degradation
Working closely with the main ATM manufacturers and Security departments of the leading IDAs in the UK, a new concept was created by ATM Protection Ltd, that uses an adhesive to bond one side of the banknotes together, making them useless as currency. Extensive research and feedback from clients, together with their operational parameters, were concentrated into a design brief that included:
Safety:
the bonding agent saturates the banknotes without escaping from the cassette, protecting ATMs and insuring safety of the crews.
Simplicity:
the unit retro-fits currently installed ATMs, and does not affect operation or replenishment procedures, increasing productivity and reducing crew error.
Effective against the following threats:
Ram raid, lock manipulation, forced opening , oxy-acetelyne torch penetration , gas insertion, explosive device.
The bonding liquid glues one side of the banknotes together. Tearing the notes apart is the only method of separation. This ensures rejection by note-changing machines and rejection by the public.
2007 saw the beginning of production of Active Cassette technology in the UK, giving all NCR ATMs protection from all types of attack threat.
